The Aunt Bee RoomYou can find the Mayberry Motor Inn right in the heart of Mount Airy on the Andy Griffith Parkway. The inn is owned by Alma Venable and has been in her family for fifty years. But what sets the inn apart from others is that it has a room full of memorabilia that once belonged to Francis Bavier, who played Aunt Bee on The Andy Griffith Show.
Mayberry CourthouseThe Mayberry Courthouse is not an actual courthouse, but it is modeled after Andy Griffith's Mayberry courthouse. It has two cells that you can open and go inside (awesome for the "Help, I'm in jail!" photo op), a replica of Andy's desk, and some lo-tech police equipment. The best part? The brick.
Wally's Service StationWally's Service Station is a Mount Airy attraction that is modeled on the gas station where Goober worked on the Andy Griffith Show. You can't get gas here or have your car serviced, but you can buy tons of knickknacks and Mayberry novelty items. You can also tour the town of Mount Airy in a replica police car which departs from Wally's.

Andy Griffith And Opie TV Land StatueStanding outside the Andy Griffith Museum in Mount Airy, you'll find these Andy & Opie statues that were given to the museum by TV Land in 2004. There is another set in Raleigh, NC as well.
Elrock Sculpture GardenIn Mount Airy, there is a little ice cream stand called Scoops Ice Cream & Such. Run out of a van by Chazz Elstone, Scoops is a favorite of many from Mount Airy. But Scoops Ice Cream & Such holds a secret.

The Loaded GoatThe Loaded Goat was one of the 64 participants in the 2017 Strange Carolinas North Carolina Burger Bracket tournament, where they finished second overall! Additionally, they were named second best burger by the readers of Strange Carolinas in our Strange Carolinas Best Of NC Awards 2019.
Old North State WineryOld North State Winery was one of the 64 participants in the Strange Carolinas North Carolina Taco Tournament, where they lost in the first round to K38 Baja Grill.

PET Milk CartonThis PET milk carton sits outside H&S Dairy in Mount Airy. According to Jason Frey's Moon Blue Ridge & Smoky Mountains, the carton has been around since the 1940s.

Gravesite Of Siamese Twins Eng And Chang BunkerSiamese twins Eng and Chang Bunker are buried in the graveyard directly behind the White Plains Baptist Church in Mt. Airy. Their grave is easy to find; it's pretty much front and central.
