It’s been a year since Kurt Vile And The Violators took the stage in Charlotte, North Carolina, but they were back again at the Neighborhood Theatre on Saturday night. Opening for Kurt Vile was the entrancing Emily Robb who gave an intriguing performance.



Kurt Vile took the stage with the Violators and kicked off the night with his song “Jesus Fever” and played a set that sampled his albums (watch my moves), b’lieve i’m goin down, Wakin On A Pretty Daze, Bottle It In, and Smoke Ring For My Halo. Kurt And The Violators also played a few songs from Vile’s latest album that came out last November, Back to Moon Beach.



Aside from playing his original songs, Kurt Vile And The Violators also played a couple covers. Vile covered “How Lucky” by John Prine, which he has covered alongside Prine. The crew also kicked off their encore with a cover of Bruce Springsteen’s “Wages Of Sin.” Originals and covers included, this was a super fun set and the crowd didn’t stop grooving along the entire night.
